Island Community Ventures Ltd is a company created to benefit the Island’s voluntary and community groups and charities. It is a trading subsidiary of the Isle of Wight Rural Community Council (IWRCC), a local charity which has supported charitable initiatives on the Island since 1997. Island Community Ventures believes that every penny spent on the Island, needs to be made to work harder to benefit the residents of the Island and in its case this will be done by using any profits generated through the running of local shops, post offices and other initiatives to fund the work the IWRCC undertakes to support voluntary and community efforts on the Island. Not only will residents be benefiting from and enjoying a local service or amenity but they will also be contributing to overall efforts to help charitable work on the Island.
